Berdasarkan Kabupaten Bungo Dalam Angka 2020 Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), jumlah penduduk Kabupaten Bungo sebanyak 374.337 jiwa dengan sex ratio sebesar 104,57, kepadatan penduduk 80,44 jiwa/km2, serta laju pertumbuhan penduduk sebesar 0,021 %.
Jumlah penduduk terbanyak di Kabupaten Bungo selama Tahun 2019 adalah Kecamatan Pelepat Ilir dengan jumlah penduduk sebesar 49.235 jiwa.
